Jenner is a German-born Photographer and Author who is based in New Zealand and involved in publishing and exhibiting his more than five decades long work in Germany, India and New Zealand. Clicking on the menu bar on the top you will see examples of his work. Part of his work focuses on the cultural, religious and everyday activities of people, which he depicts in photo essays and books (e.g. drop down menu: BOOKS / New Zealand / India).

Another important part of his work are biographies of historic and present day personalities – captured in photos and stories, in Audiovisual presentations or on film (under menu: AUDIOVISUAL and BOOKS). He is immersed in a long term study of Indian culture, resulting in six photography / text volumes showcasing his at times unusual experiences. The books intend to bridge East and West. His work also features European architecture (drop down menu: BOOKS/ GOETHE- INSTITUT), landscapes, nature studies, and Avan-garde illustrations (menu: ARCHIVE / NEW ZEALAND / GERMANY). From all of his productions he holds an extensive analog and digital archive.
Apart from his assignments as a corporate and feature photographer (menu: INDUSTRY), he produced seven books of his own and contributed to six more. Jenner put together six photography / text calendars (drop down menu: BOOKS), two documentary films and six audiovisual/ multimedia presentations for exhibitions (menu: AUDIOVISUAL). These publications were longer term projects, often self-initiated. His work was featured in many solo exhibitions (see excerpts in: EXHIBITIONS), repeatedly organised by the worldwide network of the Goethe-Institut (a worldwide nonprofit cultural and language institution of the Federal Republic of Germany with more than 150 cultural centres). Jenner is a member of PEN NZ Inc (New Zealand Society of Authors) and the VS (Union of Writers) in Germany; he writes the text sections of his publications and also works as a speaker, photography lecturer (in New Zealand HoD at the “Whitecliffe College of Art & Design”, Auckland), book editor and exhibition curator.
